Greasemonkey is great for manipulating how webpages are displayed. I use many of the scripts. For instance, I use this one for automatically displaying images within Craigslist. I then click the checkbox to only display listings with images. It is a great timesaver by eliminating all those stupid adds without pics.
Persistent searches are basically the equivalent of iTunes smart folders for Gmail. It will dynamically update your defined searches saving tons of time.
It also adds a nice little splash of color with that snazzy little yellow box (see image).
